Welcome to Our Department!

Westford Academy’s science program invites students to explore big questions about the world, how it works, how it changes, and how it shapes our lives. Science here is not just something students learn about; it is something they actively do. Every course includes hands on lab experiences where students investigate, test ideas, and follow their curiosity.

As students move through the program, they build both practical skills and a deeper understanding across different areas of science. Along the way, they develop a thoughtful approach to problem solving by asking meaningful questions, making sense of evidence, and refining their ideas through inquiry.

Our goal is for every student to leave not only with knowledge, but with a lasting sense of wonder and the confidence to keep learning. The program is aligned with the Massachusetts Science Frameworks and prepares students for a wide range of future pathways, including medicine, engineering, and the liberal arts.
