Welcome to Our Department!
The Counseling Department provides a comprehensive program supporting the academic, career, and social/emotional development of all students. We empower students to build self-awareness and the competencies needed for postsecondary success.
WA counselors provide a multi-tiered system of support:
-
Core Curriculum: Counselors deliver proactive, developmentally appropriate lessons and group sessions to ensure equitable access to self-discovery, social-emotional skills, and college/career planning.
-
Responsive Services: Counselors are available for immediate student needs. Crisis intervention and mental health concerns are prioritized to ensure a safe, supportive learning environment.
-
Individual Planning: Students collaborate with counselors to design personalized educational roadmaps aligning their unique strengths with future goals.
Our staff works in partnership with faculty, staff, and administration to provide integrated, student-centered care. Through this collaborative system, we ensure every student has continuous opportunities to master the essential skills for success in school and beyond.
