DEAR POTENTIAL HOST FAMILIES FOR INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS,
Have you and your family ever talked about hosting a student from Belgium or Thailand or Brazil for a year or a semester?
This is the time of year when potential host families for next school year are being sought out. Students from all over the world are rolling in through a programs which are trusted and with which we have worked for many years or with our own language exchange programs. Without the willingness of Westford families to open their homes, however, W.A. cannot continue to enjoy the international flair which students from other countries bring to us.
Through the years we have hosted hundreds of students from dozens of countries and we all learn from the experience. Hundreds, maybe even thousands of our students have also traveled abroad on exchange programs. Sometimes, the friendships made continue for years after and you find yourself visiting foreign places, taking part in graduations, or being best man or maid of honor at someone’s wedding.
