About World History II Honors
This course is designed for enthusiastic history students who have demonstrated excellent achievement in World History I. This course will trace the major events, themes, and patterns of change from the Age of Revolutions to the present. Avid readers will be challenged with a higher-level text, the use of primary source documents for deeper meaning and analysis and a rigorous curriculum emphasizing a global approach to the study of history. Extensive and challenging daily reading assignments will serve as a platform for critical and skillful written analysis. In addition an emphasis will be placed upon independent learning, thoughtful group discussions, and productive team synergy for practicing the skills required for a deeper understanding of history.
