The History Channel.com

Connected with the television channel. Most useful will probably be their "Search the Database" option which is basically an encyclopedia about historical concepts, events, and people.

CIA World Fact Book

A collection of information gathered by the U. S. government on countries throughout the world, including government, economy, history, demographics, geography, etc.

Westford Academy Databases

This is a collection of databases which you can access as students of WA. If you are at school you will not need to log on. If you try to access this from home you will need to go to the blue box (EZ Home Access) and enter your Fletcher Library ID (found on the back of you Fletcher Library card). These databases will be useful when conducting research, and especially when looking for newspaper/magazine articles.

Noodle Tools

Prompts you to enter the necessary information and then creates a Works Cited document for you according to MLA format. You will need to log on (Westford Academy has bought a subscription to this service and you can access it from home). Make sure you select MLA!!
