Just a few updates for you today.
WA Guidance Department
The WA Guidance Department would like all students who have not already done so to sign up for Remind text alerts to receive important reminders from the guidance department. Each graduating class has their own code to sign up, listed below:
Class of 2018 - Text @wa18 to 81010
Class of 2019 - Text @wa19 to 81010
Class of 2020 - Text @waghost20 to 81010
Class of 2021 - Text @wa21 to 81010
Once the sign up code is sent, students just need to reply with their full name. Parents are welcome to sign up, as well. The department will also be using Remind to send out an electronic "e-pass" for students to see their counselor, in an effort to find a more efficient and reliable way to distribute daily passes, but we need all students to participate in Remind to make this work! We appreciate your cooperation.
If your student has been diagnosed with a life threatening allergy and is prescribed an epipen, please have them bring their epipen order form and 1 epipen to our clinic. Please note that these items must be in our clinic in order for your child to participate in any field trips. If you have any questions, don't hesitate to call or email me. Thank you.

WESTFORD ACADEMY'S DECA CLUB BACK FOR BUSINESS
WA has just started its 2017-18 school year and so has its nationally recognized DECA Business Club. The largest high school business club in Massachusetts for the last several years (400+ members) is encouraging each of its student members to "Build Your Legacy". DECA is a competition-driven club, which uses real-life business scenarios to improve students' problem-solving, critical thinking, and communication skills. Each club member has the opportunity to win thousands of dollars in scholarship money and this year's goal is the international competition held in April in Atlanta, Georgia. DECA's annual Student/Parent Information Night will be held on Tuesday, September 26th and conveniently repeated on Wednesday, September 27th from 7:00 - 7:30 PM in the WA PAC. It is open to any interested student or parent and is
required of all new and returning members. A presentation of pertinent club information, followed by a Q & A with Advisors/Officers and membership registration will highlight the event.
