Friday, February 5, 2010- regular Friday email
Good afternoon,

I am just about out of energy.  I want to thank all of you that sent me a note this week through email.  Each note provided me with additional energy to get through an unimaginable week.
If you have questions, all of my updates from the week are posted on the Westford Academy website.  I would like to encourage you one more time to carpool tomorrow to the different memorials in our community.  This is a very difficult time within the community of Westford, but I know that we will remain strong and will continue to support each other.  That's it for today.

A note from our school nurses...

Dear Parents and Guardians,

Please keep in mind over the weekend that many underclassmen are also suffering deeply right now. Some of them are feeling as though they should not feel this bad because they either, did not know Olivia personally or that they are not members of the senior class.

These students have also been through a very traumatic week and we would like you to spend some time with them this weekend and appreciate what they are experiencing. We realize that many of them do not want to talk but we are encouraging you to continue to ask them how they are doing and to acknowledge their hurt.

Thank you,

Sally Pratt and Joan Mitchell
